Global Keratin Sample
June 17, 2009I have obtained a sample from Global Keratin of their “formaldehyde free” hair treatment. Some of my coworkers in Los Angeles have had excellent results with this treatment. It has been suggested to me, that this is a superior product when compaired to “Coppola Keratin Complex”. If you are interested in a Global Keratin Treatment you can contact me at jeffdavidsonhair@yahoo.com. I am offering a reduced rate for this treatment to readers of my blog.
Global Keratin comes in multiple versions. 4% formaldehyde, 2% formaldehyde, or formaldehyde free.
Application of this product is similar to Coppola Keratin. This version I have smells like strawberry. It smooths hair, relaxes curl, and tames frizz. Results are said to last 2-4 months.
Keep in mind that when I’m finished smoothing out your hair, a whole bunch of people might want to touch your hair.

Hi! I am considering getting a Keratin Hair Treatment at my local hair salon. I am just wanting some help in wondering if this product is for me. I have had naturaly curly hair since I was born. I mean just not a little it lays in rings. From the beginning of July made one and a half years that I had been flat ironing it…through that it has taken out ALOT of my curls. The first of July I had a professional straightner put on. It helped take out the rest, but I still have alot of flat ironing I have to do to it. I was wondering if I used this product if it would make it to where I could let my hair dry on its own without worrying about it frizzing up or getting wavy. Please just let me know if you think it would work for me. I am desperate and would almost try anything at this point. Thanks!

Lesli,
Keratin will take out your frizz, but it will only take about half of your curl out. If you want stick straight hair you should opt for a formadehyde version or choose to go with a Japanese straighener. Keratin more about smoothing the hair and less about straightening. After Keratin you can air dry and have no frizz.
good luck,
Jeff
Jeff,
I talked with my local salon and they turned me down for doing one of these treatments. I have read online of several ppl getting them and doing them on theirselves. Do you know where I could get one? or even one that I could just get a sample to do my hair one time? Thanks!
Lesli
Lesli,
In order to purchase Keratin you need to have a license in cosmetology. Why would your salon turn you down???
They have never used one of these perms. Also the lady that does my hair is pregnant. I live in a very small town…so I really don’t know anyone else to do it. She gave me the name so that I could do some research on it online. Your website was the just the first one that came up that I thought I could get help with this subject.
Cool site, love the info.
I had the Coppola keratin done and my hair is curly and it took all the frizz out and make my hair completely straight it was great
Hi.. Iwant to get my hair done but im not sure with which keratin 2use.. Should i use the global keratin or the coppola one… Im so confused.. And id reaallly like to know which is better
i have curly hair and i would like it to be frizz free but i dont want it to be straight 2 i just want my curls to be less curly
I can see very little difference between the two products. Global Keratin comes in three strengths. They will both smooth your hair and reduce curl.
